Checklist: Preventing and countering undesirable behaviour

Employees can drop out (long-term) because of a structurally excessive workload or because of undesirable behaviour. You can prevent this by creating a socially safe working environment. Do you want to create such an environment? Then download our checklist 'Prevent and counteract undesirable behaviour'.

About the checklist

A structurally excessive workload or undesirable behaviour, such as aggression, discrimination, (sexual) harassment and bullying, can cause your employees to drop out for long periods. These forms of psychosocial workload (PSA) often have unpleasant consequences for your employees, but also for you as an employer.

As PSA has been one of the main occupational risks for years, the Occupational Health and Safety Act obliges you to prevent it as much as possible. That starts with creating a socially safe working environment. To do this, you can take the following steps:

  1. Establish a PSA policy
  2. Create a socially safe feeling in the workplace
  3. Appoint a confidential advisor
  4. Address reports of undesirable behaviour
  5. Develop skills to prevent undesirable behaviour
